Wow.  I didn't know if I'd even have a xanga site anymore... thought maybe they'd kick me off after a few months with no activity.

Back to school here at good old Wayne State... stand up for school pride! Go wildcats! (i'm trying to have school spirit this semester.... my roommate is a volleyball player so I have taken it upon myself to be her biggest fan... gonna be a long season.... )

sabrina is pretty amazing. i love her. (she just typed that herself.... so don't be fooled.  even though she is pretty cool.)

anyway... this is the most pointless blog.  i guess i forgot how to do this whole thing. just give it time, i hope everyone is doing well!  peace out, friends!

I'm about to head back to Wayne.  I guess I'm not very excited.  Break was pretty boring for me.  I watched about 10 movies, slept about 4 days straight and got nothing done.  This week ought to go fast, though... so that will be nice.  I get my cast of Friday... I am glad for that.... I hope everyone had great breaks...

I did get to do one thing that was fun... on Saturday my sisters, mom and I went wedding dress shopping for Kirbi... that was sweet... then afterwards, my sisters and I got full-body massages in Sioux City.  Pretty much the best hour of my life.  I thought I should get a discount since half of my left leg is covered in a cast (which hindered me from recieving the full-body treatment) but they didn't go for that.  Oh well.

10 Things I've learned lately:
1) I really like my boyfriend.  But I'm glad that he's only my boyfriend because I like my friends too... and I don't want anything more than a boyfriend right now.

2) Sisters make good roommates.  (so do non-sisters, Carly!)

3) Playing football outside in the sun in January can be really fun.  Especially with fun people to play with.  (duh--it'd SUCK to play alone..)

4) I need to stop using my credit card.  It isn't cash.

5) Shawn McDonald is pretty amazing.  Forget what I said as number one... because if Shawn asked me to marry him I'd say yes in a split second.

6) It's fun being one of the "older girls."  Ha--Karen, Kirbi, Quinn and I hung out one night and decided we were some of the older girls now.  Neat.  I like them all the most.

7) Doing the workout for 8-min. abs doesn't actually mean you'll have abs in 8 min.

8) Classes at Wayne actually can be challenging. Who knew??

9) Straight hair makes me feel old and pretty.

10) Being excited and being nervous are hard to tell apart.  I found out I am officially invited to San Diego project... woot! woot!  I'm in... but now I'm nervous for a summer away.... or, it could be that I'm excited... but it's probably nervous...

This semester is gonna be hard.  Classes are hard, working part-time is hard, Crusade work is hard, preparing for a summer project is hard, physical therapy is hard...  I am going to need help to get through this one.

But there are some wonderful things going on too.  I have great roommates, friends in almost all of my classes, a wonderful boyfriend, a vision for the summer, a little money to have fun with, a foot that's healing... I am very blessed.

Anyway, I have to get to work... Valerie, I miss having you in class with me.  I never see your cute little face around anymore. :)

(oh--and in case Mike or Jenny reads this, I still have several of your DVDs.  I promise I don't plan on stealing them.  I just haven't given them back yet.  Sorry.  Really sorry.)

So.. I wanted to share my favorite verses with you:

"'For my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.  For when I am weak, then I am STRONG."  --2 Corinth. 12:9-10

And

"Despite all these things we have overwhelming victory in Christ Jesus, who loves us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to seperate us from the love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." --Romans 8:37-39

Anyway, just some things I like to remember.  It's great that He always loves us, isn't it.  Pretty amazing.  I wouldn't be able to love someone like me the way He does.  Go God.
